Day 96
April 7, 2017The day was long and gross, but the sudden clearing of the skies meant perfect conditions for these moon watchers.

Send and receive.
A pocket of not-New-York right in the middle of it all.
The world is colorful again!
So! Three months into this daily photo project, and I seem to still be hanging in there. I didn’t post a February recap, so I’m just going to include some of my favorites from the past two months.
Today, I saw much and shot little.
And this concludes a very successful black and white week. I didn’t appreciate black and white before this, but now I think I’m starting to grok the idea and might seek it out more often.
If I were one to have a bucket list, item #1 would most certainly be to have the guts to sit down and play competently against one of these guys.
I see you, watchful eye.
I enjoy how the angles of the incoming Ashland Place seamlessly add to and completely interrupt the majestic rise of the Williamsburgh Savings Bank tower.
Belly full, happy heart.
I went walking about Chinatown earlier today in search of a nice comfortable coffee shop and some curry bricks. Success all around.
She and her cadre have been watching over my block for a while now.
Tonight I played with light and composition. And a fire hydrant.
Things I learned: 1. Driving in Jersey sucks. 2. Signage in Jersey sucks. Really, tremendously bad. 3. I’m not a fan of New Jersey. 4. Jersey has some incredible Indian food. 5. Indian food served on paper plates is a sure sign that you’re in for quite a treat. 6. Still hate Jersey.
Rob, doing Rob things.
Lines for days.
This is a blatant disregard for signage, and to park so close!! Ballsy move, yellow scooter!
No one batted an eye at this.
Not pictured is the really tasty meatballs I made later on that I can’t stop thinking about.
I took photos today. But they’re all goofy photos of Ilanna and she would very much prefer that I did not post here.
So out of respect for my dear lovely Ilanna, here is a camel instead.
Brooklyn is sometimes pretty great. This fake stereo was actually wired up, and those fake-looking speakers, I’m pretty certain, were real. I think this car is actually functional.
I found a clown bike in the snow.
Back and forth.
I walked around with the wrong camera settings all day. Silly me.
On the bright side, I did find an April.
No trains, no bikes, no kale, no bread. NYC likes to freak out at the slightest hype.
