Organized within the last 24 hours in response to our inept new president’s systemic bigotry, the Emergency Rally for Muslim and Immigrant Rights was conceived, organized, and well executed. According to the Facebook event’s numbers, thousands were there, and the crowd was indeed dense, intense, and inspired. They organized speakers from both within the elected ranks of the government as well as activists and community organizers. The tone was harsh towards our shamefully fearful new federal government, and overwhelmingly positive towards our sanctuary city and the immigrants within it.

All in all, an energizing rally, and this is just the beginning.
